I am an M.A. Psychology student at Adler Graduate School in Toronto. I received a B.A. (Honours) in Literature and Creative Writing from the University of British Columbia, and an M.A. in English and Creative Writing from the University of Toronto. During my tenure at U of T, I received the E.J. Pratt Medal in Poetry and the Avie Bennett Emerging Writer Scholarship. Concurrent with my studies at Adler, I am completing transitional courses in Psychology at Toronto Metropolitan University.
In my early twenties, I overcame some personal challenges. This experience informs my understanding of distress, hopelessness, and other important mental health issues and motivates my clinical practice. My background in writing and teaching synergizes with my use of existential therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and narrative therapy. I also interweave components of cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT) and dialectical-behavioural therapy (DBT) into my clinical work. My approach is client-centred, and I aim to devote keen attention to each individual’s unique relationship with language and narrative.
I am supervised by Dr. Lisa Bradford, a registered psychologist, and I am working towards registration as a Psychological Associate, under the College of Psychologists of Ontario.
I look forward to connecting with you.
