Working together to build a tailored approach to address your concerns and therapeutic preferences can help create a therapeutic environment that is unassuming, nonjudgemental, and dynamic. In other words, by working with me, we will try to foster a unique therapeutic atmosphere that addresses and satisfies your needs. This will involve using a “hand-picked” collection of approaches from evidence-based modalities such as cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), dialectical-behavioural therapy (DBT), solution-focused therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), emotion-focused therapy (EFT), existential psychotherapy, and psychodynamic therapy.
I have significant experience volunteering for both a local, Toronto-based, support hotline (Distress Centres of Greater Toronto), and a national suicide-focused hotline (9-8-8), each of which allowed me to explore wide-ranging concerns with individuals from all walks of life. I also have considerable psychological assessment experience in the motor vehicle accident domain.
I am completing a Master of Psychology degree, in Clinical Psychology, at Adler Graduate Professional School. Prior to this program, I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree, in Specialized Honours Psychology, cum laude, from York University in 2020. Since then, I have published psychological research in high-impact journals, and presented it at esteemed conferences. I am a Student Affiliate with the Ontario Psychological Association, and my therapeutic and assessment work is supervised by Dr. Lisa Bradford, a licensed clinical and counselling psychologist.
I welcome the chance to explore your needs and concerns.
