Reaching out for help is hard. It is important to find a therapist who is right for you, and that process can feel overwhelming. As a clinician, I believe that the foundation of effective therapy lies in the therapeutic relationship. I aim to provide a respectful, empathetic, and nurturing space where you can feel truly seen, heard, and supported. From a place of mutual trust, we can begin to process, explore, and find meaning in your experiences in a way that is compassionately curious.
In my clinical practice, I believe that therapy should be a collaborative process that is tailored to meet the unique needs of each client and harness their innate resilience. As such, I use an integrative, attachment-based, and client-centered approach, adopting principles of emotion-focused therapy (EFT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), sensorimotor psychotherapy, polyvagal theory, cognitive-behavioural therapy, existential psychotherapy, various humanistic/process-experiential models and psychoanalytic/psychodynamic theory. At the core of my approach is a trauma-informed and developmental lens that recognizes the complex ways in which our contextual environments impact our mental and physical well-being. Our early experiences have a profound influence on the way we see ourselves, others, and the world. In our work together, we will begin to explore how these early experiences might contribute to your current emotional distress and/or trauma symptoms.
My clinical work is supervised by Dr. Lisa Bradford, a licensed clinical and counselling psychologist. I am currently a Master’s of Psychology student at Adler Graduate Professional School in Toronto. I received my Bachelor of Arts in psychology at Toronto Metropolitan University at the honours level. I have spent several years conducting psychological research in areas relating to trauma, anxiety, depression, social isolation, cognitive aging, and well-being. In addition to my education and research background, personal experiences have inspired me to become a clinical psychologist. I have a strong understanding of and deep empathy for vulnerable individuals. You are not alone on this journey.
I wholeheartedly believe that we each have an innate capacity for healing. I am grateful to be able to provide my clients with the space they need to reconnect with their authentic selves and experience personal growth. I invite you to reach out to see if we are the right fit for each other through a free 20-minute consultation.
