I believe therapy can be a place for healing, empowerment, self-improvement, and growth. In our initial session, we will work together to determine your therapy goals through gaining a deeper understanding of the presenting issues that may prevent you from creating meaningful change in your life.
Often we can get stuck in repeated patterns, emotions, and self-limiting beliefs that hold us back from living fulfilling lives. Together we will identify your strengths and resources to develop greater self-awareness, confidence, and acceptance and explore your values and what makes life purposeful for you. By building up your capacity for resilience, I will help you take ownership to make those positive changes you want to see.
As an advocate of positive mental health and well-being, I incorporate psychological, emotional, and physical elements into my therapy practice to create a treatment plan that includes these aspects to suit your needs. My experience includes working with clients diagnosed with cancer, autoimmune disorders and chronic health conditions. I also work with individuals who suffer from professional burnout and guide them with the appropriate coping strategies to create a healthy balance in their lives.
In my practice, I regularly draw upon a range of evidence-based methods such as cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), solution-focused therapy (SFT), mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and existential, psychodynamic, relational, and client-centred therapy.
I have a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University and a Master’s degree in Marketing and Innovation from the UK. In addition to my clinical experience, I have completed the Workplace Mental Health Leadership Program at Queen’s University, as well as training in Compassion-Based Resilience with the Nalanda Institute of Contemplative Science, and Mindfulness and Emotional Intelligence Leadership with the Search Inside Yourself Leadership Institute. I am a Registered Psychotherapist and a member of the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association.
I provide a safe, respectful, non-judgmental space that supports all individuals from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and communities.
