There are many different reasons to seek therapy. Whether you are dealing with an immediate predicament, facing a new transition period in life, experiencing difficulties in relationships, or wish to understand yourself better, therapy can offer a safe space to explore opportunities for growth and develop novel strategies to understand and approach life’s challenges.
I employ an integrated approach that incorporates elements from a number of therapeutic modalities in order to tailor therapy to the unique needs of each individual. Using techniques from cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, emotion-focused, mindfulness, and acceptance and commitment-based modalities, I will help you gain insight into concerns that have brought you to therapy, and any barriers that may be preventing you from achieving desired change.
During our initial sessions together, we will discuss what has brought you to therapy and will work together to determine your specific goals for treatment. My style is gentle and empathic, with a focus on creating an environment where you can cultivate curiosity and non-judgment in relation to both yourself and others. I am honoured to help support you as you develop a deeper understanding of yourself and use your newfound knowledge as an inner compass to guide you in working toward a life that reflects your goals and values.
I have a B.Sc. in General Sciences (2008) from the University of Lethbridge, a B.A. in Psychology (2015) from the University of Calgary, as well as a M.A. (2017) and Ph.D. (2021) in Clinical Psychology from Ryerson University. I have provided psychological assessment and treatment services in a number of settings since 2016 and have experience working with a variety of concerns including anxiety, low mood, grief and loss, substance abuse, insomnia, self-esteem, relationship difficulties, trauma, concerns with school or work performance, coping with chronic medical conditions, and living with disability.
